The Registration Examination, the Case-Based Assessment (CBA) and the Jurisprudence e-Learning Module are three different CRPO activities. Start with the distinction, then use the preparation framework that fits your situation.

Registration Examination

An entry-to-practice examination for eligible RP(Q)s.

Passing it is one part of the requirements for transfer to the RP category. CRPO remains the source for eligibility, timing and current candidate instructions.

Three different activities

Choose the preparation track that applies to you.

These activities have different purposes and instructions. Select the official CRPO source for your track before choosing study materials or joining a group.

01 · Entry-to-practice examination

CRPO Registration Examination

This is the examination eligible RP(Q)s complete as part of meeting the requirements to transfer to the RP category. Use the current CRPO instructions and candidate materials for the administration you are scheduled to write.

02 · Quality Assurance assessment

Case-Based Assessment (CBA)

The CBA is a separate case-based assessment within CRPO’s Quality Assurance Program for registrants selected for peer and practice review. The reasoning habits on this page may be useful, but the CBA has its own official guide and instructions.

03 · Pre-application learning module

Jurisprudence e-Learning Module

Jurisprudence is a learning module completed before applying to CRPO. It includes learning checks, but it is not the Registration Examination or the CBA. Use CRPO’s current module and manual.

A balanced plan connects what the examination assesses with how you will read, reason and respond under the actual conditions.

Start with the official format

Read the current candidate and CRPO materials before choosing study resources. Confirm dates, eligibility, delivery and technical requirements directly.

Study applied judgment

Organize review around entry-to-practice competencies and practise identifying the safest, most professionally appropriate response in context.

Practise the conditions

Use timed practice, build a repeatable reading process and test the technology and environment required for the current administration.

Protect your capacity

Plan rest, logistics and a stopping point for study. Preparation is more useful when it supports clear thinking instead of exhaustion.

Case-based practice

Slow the scenario down before choosing an answer.

A consistent set of prompts can help you notice what a case is asking before you react to a familiar phrase or tempting option.
